Out with Apricots.....In with St. Francis!

Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.  --Francis of Assisi

Do you all remember all the hoop-la with me planting the apricot tree earlier this year?  Well, at first it looked like it was going to do well.........it began growing new leaves and even had ONE little apricot on it so I was happy....and then, all of a sudden, it began to dry up and die................so I guess it wasn't happy with that hard ground I tried to plant it in...............

Anyway...........I decided that the area probably was never going to nurture anything more than flowers on the surface soil so out it came.................and here is my new idea instead:

I added the solar light in back so he will have a light at night............I adapted the garden stake in back that was sort of obstructed in the previous photo........I will see tonight if it actually works............lol..............

So anyway.............I'm happy because I have wanted a large St. Francis for years and have never found one I liked until now........and since the Apricot tree wasn't cooperating...........well, as Pa Ingalls (and my Sis) always say......."all's well that ends well"................

I'm headed upstairs to see if I can get a design wall put up in my sewing room so I can start putting the sections of the Oz hanging up............then I will try to get a little nap in before starting my work week again tonight............so Ta-Ta for now...........

That looks so nice there. I'm sure St. Francis will thrive there.

I can't wait to see the Oz all together on the design wall.
