Charity Quilt and a Tote for the Nurses

"Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain"--Joseph Campbell

Here is my finish of the Charity Quilt for Hands to Help which I will be sending to Happy Chemo.  I used House blocks donated as charity blocks from the Neighborhood Block Party..........

Plus my Sis, Irene, dug down into her orphan block pile and sent me home with some nice additional blocks to use.  I machine embroidered some of the little houses like the ones Irene sent out to all the participants of the Neighborhood Party onto the orphan blocks to continue the house theme....
I thought the houses would look nice using the Attic Window pattern and I really love the look.   I think this quilt could be given to either a male or female chemo patient and be well received.

I also whipped up a little tote bag to give to the nurses at the hospital where I work for their fund raiser.........I have always loved the Loralie Ladies and the Loralie Nurses are no exception.........I used two of the nurses from a panel....one on each side of the tote...........

My current project is working on the final round of a Round Robin group so I can send it on to my friend Mary.  This has been so much fun....actually the first Round Robin I've been a member of.  The workmanship on each project I have received has so impressed me and I can barely wait to get mine back!

So I will stretch out what remains of this beautiful Sunday and go back upstairs and spend some more time with my Singer..........
Have a wonderful week!

Love both projects you made with the Neighborhood Houses project blocks. Also, thanks to Irene for the lovely embroidered house block she sent as a thank you. I look at it almost every day and love it more each day.

Oh wow! That house quilt is gorgeous and I know someone will love to wrap that around themselves during their chemo sessions and afterwards. It will certainly be a comfort to the lucky owner. The nurse totes are nice too. WTG!
