Linkup for Hands to Help and my Round Robin Top!

“Never let yourself be persuaded that any one Great Man, any one leader, is necessary to the salvation of America. When America consists of one leader and 158 million followers, it will no longer be America.” Dwight D. Eisenhower

Today I am Linking up my Hands to Help Charity Quilt which I showed you on my last post. But I also want to show you my Round Robin top! I started out with a beautiful Hoffman Royal Peacock print that I set into the center of a window frame block (see photo left). I had bought the fabric several years ago intending to make a wall hanging for my room so when I joined the RR group this was the perfect opportunity to get my wall hanging!  After I made the center I sent it to my friend, Mary, and what she did on the first round is just outstanding! Look at those gorgeous Japanese lanterns!
                                                 Round 1
When Mary finished her round she sent it to my niece, Sara, who went with the offset corners Mary started and did her own thing.....Sara is a novice quilter who just did a round that I think looks pretty professional, don't you??

                                               Round 2
Next the Robin went to my Sis, Irene, who would send it to my other sis, Lynette and they had some "shenanigans" that went on because Lynette wanted to do some applique flowers and Irene wanted to do a ribbon border but they both agreed the applique should be the 3rd round so.....well without actually sending it to Lynette first, Irene did her last round and left a blank border for Lynette to do these lovely appliqued posies!  (Lynette is also a novice who has just done some professional-looking applique, in my opinion!)

                                              Round 4

And last but not least is this fabulous ribbon border, the 3rd round that came out as the 4th round (lol) was  made by "that sister that makes me do all those things".........but she is also the sister "who makes all those gorgeous things for me"........
                                                                            Round 3

This looks nothing like what I had in mind when I bought this fabric........and I am SO glad!  I love, love, love it and I will show you all the finish when I get it on my bedroom wall!

Now again, the photo of the Hands to Hands Quilt I sent to Happy Chemo last week...........some of the blocks were charity blocks made for the Neighborhood Block party we had earlier this year and the others were orphan blocks my Sis gave me that I machine embroidered some more little houses on:
