"Happiness is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But if you turn your attention to other things, It comes and sits softly on your shoulder."- Henry David Thoreau
I showed you a couple of finished disappearing hourglass blocks on my last post and was undecided on one of them.......a beautiful floral print because I thought it might be too busy to show the contrast and now I'm sure of it...........here are my first 6 blocks..........
I think that for sure the lighter whiter blocks are great and that I can probably even work with the two others but I think the pattern gets lost with the florals. Unfortunately I think I already have one or two more florals already cut but I'm sure a table topper or other project can be beautiful using them.......
Look at this sweet little baby turtle......his/her name is Charley.....(either Charles or Charlene)...........she is presently living in the planter that sits at the entrance to my home which usually has silk flowers or some sort of seasonal decoration. Now it is Charley's new home for awhile..........the plastic lid that Charley is in is about 3 inches in diameter....
Yay! my Irises are blooming and so is my periwinkle and I have leaves (and mulberries) growing on my Mulberry tree.......Spring is here!
see you next time...........Ta-ta for now.................

Spring is here! Spring is here! I am so ready for spring. Your flowers are beautiful and Charlley is SO cute. You've accomplished a lot with your disappearing blocks. Since you've decided to omit the "busy" blocks, I know someone who like turquoise...just saying. Have a beautiful day!
I LOVE your blocks. That turquoise makes such a great companion fabric to your layer cake.
That baby turtle is so cute. Is it an offspring of you others?
Yeah for spring and new growth!!!
You can tell if it's Charlie if it has an indent on the tummy shell.
Love the turquoise and white - I'm doing a disappearing hourglass too but at this moment can not remember to fabric line, it's in corals and turquoise
Your turtle is adorable!
