Awhile back I bought a pre-printed fabric Thomas the Train book that I intended to cut into blocks to make a quilt for my grandson, who was head over heels in love with Thomas........
Well, time flies and now he is into Poke'mon so I decided to finish the idea and donate it to Hands to Help instead..........I had used the Attic Window design before and really liked it so I did it again for Thomas and Friends............
Now to the second part of my post..........My sis and I had been wanting to move up to a larger hoop embroidery machine for some time now........I knew exactly what I could do with my little 4x4 hoop first machine so I took it in and had it cleaned and re-aligned so it is now good as new to give to my son for his birthday......he is as excited about that as I am with my new Innov-is!
I embroidered 11 logos on some t-shirt material for a t-shirt memory quilt I'm working on and it went so fast! Today I am going to try some "in the hoop" Japanese fans......oh, and, um......I may have "made" my sister, Irene, move up to a 5x7 hoop machine too.......

Cute, cute Thomas the Train quillt. I know someone from "Hands2Help" will love it. Oh, and speaking of "loving something," yes, I love love my new 5x7 embroidery machine. Glad you talked me into it.
Exciting new machine! It is wonderful that your son wants the old one too. Does he have some specific thing he wants to do with it or is he just into making tea towels and embellishing his shirts and stuff? Thomas the Train is super cute. Good for you for making quilts for donation!!
