A Finish! And a beginning......

"Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see. --Mark Twain

It's done!  The 4-seasons Table cover is finished!

I had so much fun with this project!  It was wonderful to use the blocks I won at Beth Shibley's annual Neighborhood Block Party and doubly fun to use my new embroidery machine to add lots of fun embellishments!

After I decided to make it a 4-seasons theme, it just seemed perfect to include the scripture from Ecclesiastes 3:1.....so I added it underneath two of the Sun's rays.....

In addition.....in the sky over the house which depicts a particular season, are things you might find in the sky during that season.....a snow cloud and an airplane in the Winter sky, a kite and an air balloon in the Spring sky, a rain cloud and fireworks in the Summer sky, and a lightening cloud and ducks flying south in the Autumn sky.....

On four of the sides of the octagon I have embroidered the name of the season underneath the house that sits between the two trees  depicting that season

On the opposing octagon sides I embroidered a "Love Scripture" I am missing a photo of one of them but you get the idea............

The quilting really doesn't show up well on this busy backing even though I used an orange thread in the bobbin but I don't plan to use it in this direction anyway.......haha
Here are some closeups of some of the individual embroidery I added ......

Here are the original blocks I won.....I only used 8 of the blocks for the 4 Seasons Tablecover......The Grinch Block on the lower left is earmarked for a "Merry Grinchmas" wall hanging for my Grandsons to decorate with for Christmas.......

.......oh, you were wondering about the "beginning" I was talking about????  It's that dreaded presentation.......due on Saturday morning........
......So now I have to knuckle-down and do one of those "at the last minute" finishes I'm so famous for.......so you may not hear from me til next week when I'm done.........so I'll just say,
"Ta-Ta for now"........talk to you next time.............
