Several of my followers have mentioned that they don't like the Wicked Witch's flying monkeys....or that they are "scary" or "creepy"........and for some reason there has been very little Oz fabric made that shows them....maybe more people agree with that.....in fact, I've only found one print which is a panel and ,I think, I probably won't get it......but I do have some monkeys for the Oz hanging I'm just not sure what to use for the center yet.......
well if we "imagined" some wings on them maybe they could fly.....lol....
so anyway............here are some "maybe's"...........

I'm liking the three on the left......what do you all think??
While you all are thinking about it why don't you hop over to Karen's OFW page where she has more lovely flowers for you to see......click HERE.....
Ok, so I'm off to finish one more bag......I remembered one more person who needs one......here are some things I sent off last week for a swap....both were pieced and lots of fun....
Ok I am off to make another tote bag.....Ta-ta for now......

I love those monkeys!! I actually made a sock money once.... I wonder where that ended up.... but I digress :-)
Which pattern will you use for the next (final?) bag? My vote is the one with the bones fabric and the Hope print... but I know you'll probably come up with another great one. I wish I didn't like you so much, so I could stop visiting your page. You always "force" me to add stuff to my "projects I must make" list.
Have a good night, my friend!!
The monkeys are very cute and I like the three on the left too! And, such lovely blocks!
Oh I do love the monkeys.. Sew cute..
Yes they are my favorite tooo
Definitely the hour glass, I remember seeing the monkeys in that scene.
I like all the monkey options and I also like that the monkeys look so friendly. They were definitely NOT friendly in OZ. Nice blocks you made too. Are you going to paper-piece a block for your next tote?
I like all of the options, but you should use what is on the panel. Have a good day
The monkeys are cute. I guess they are a lot less scary than the flying ones. I like the three on the left and the witch on the right best, but they are all neat looking. How many of the monkey flowers are you going to put in the quilt?
Great looking blocks too. I love the spinning one. Have fun with the new bag.
I am in love with that pinwheel block! And I would choose one of the two middle centers for the hexie. They bring in some of the evil witch, but not the creepy flying monkeys!!
I love sock monkeys :-) I like the witch in the middle, but I am a fan of hers too...LOL...
Hi Ida i love the 3 on the right though they all look good, enjoy your day my friend.xx,love your slide at the top.xx
You don't have to imagine little wings on the monkeys. You could embroider wee wings on them.
I love the middle left one the most.
Such a fun project you're working on.
Oh this hexjes are so nice, I love monkeys ! ! !
Gr Hennie.
Ida I agree, the monkeys in the movie are... creepy... but I love the fabric you are using for them for Oz...
You have been doing some very lovely piecing there, well done!
